ˇ§The 1st Taiwan International Piano Competitionˇ¨ 09.25 ~ 10.05.2003
The 1st Taiwan International Piano Competition, presented by the Council for Cultural Affairs, R.O.C. and National Endowment for Culture and Arts (NECA) will be held from September 25 through October 5, 2003 at the National Concert Hall, Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China on Taiwan. The competition is committed to encourage the development of classical music culture in Taiwan, to stimulate international cultural exchange and to establish a valid forum for promising young pianists to present their talent, artistry and inspiration.
The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities. Those pianists who were born between 10/05/1972 and 09/25/1987 are welcome to apply. The Jury of the competition, however, will accept no more than thirty-two (32) contestants to the preliminary round. Contestants will be provided with accommodation, meals and all competition-related local transportation from September 22 through October 6, 2003. First prize winner of final round will be awarded a gold medal, US$20,000.- and 10 concert engagements.
