The University of Houston - Downtown Promotes
¡§Three in One Plus One¡¨ Cultural Exchange with Taiwan
As part of a unique collaboration between the University of Houston ¡V Downtown (UHD) and the Cultural Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Houston, a series of art events entitled "Three in One Plus One" were introduced at the O'Kane Gallery of UHD in November 2004.
The "Three in One Plus One" includes an exhibition "Works on Nature", a workshop on demonstration of ink painting and calligraphy, and two contests on painting and calligraphy, plus the whole series of art events are structured as part of celebration activities for UHD's 30th anniversary.
The honored Taiwanese artist Hsien-Ya Wang shares fourteen "Works on Nature" at the O'Kane Gallery from November 3 through December 16. President of UHD, Dr. Max Castillo, expressed great appreciation to Mr. Wang and Cultural Division of TECO in Houston for their dedicated contributionto enrich the University and the City of Houston by bringing in beauty of ink painting and calligraphy.
