Program Profiles

Each of the entries for the individual institutions included in this
booklet is organized according to a standard format. The purpose of this is to
give studnets quick access to detailed information regarding each language
center and to make it easier to compare them. The entries are based on
information supplied by the schools through interviews, responses to written
questionnaries, and the schools' own published brochures.

The individual entry formates are designed to include such information as
enrollments, teaching staff and qualifications, facilities, application
procedures, costs, curriculum, and so on. Students interested in particular
language centers are urged to contact the institutions directly for the most
recent and precise information in each of these categories. Students are
especially reminded that tuition and course offerings are subject to revision.

Some schools supplied their own written statements for inclusion in this
booklet. These are added to the end of the school's entry.

Information regarding curriculum and instruction is designed only to give
a basic outline of what each language center offers. Generally, detailed
information regarding levels of instruction, texts and materials used, as well
as options to take Taiwanese or other language is available from the individual
language centers on request.
